TENSE TK30S - Current Transformer

Product description

The TENSE TK30S (100/5) current transformer is designed to convert high current from the power part of an electrical circuit into a standardized secondary current suitable for measurement, monitoring, and protection devices.

It is used for indirect AC current measurement in low-voltage installations and serves as an interface between the current circuit and measuring devices such as ammeters, power meters, monitoring modules, or protective relays.

The pass-through design allows installation without interrupting the cable – the cable simply passes through the window. This ensures quick, safe, and economical installation.

Key features

  • Precise measurements due to 0.5 accuracy class – stable transmission and minimal losses.

  • Easy installation – compact design, can be installed in confined spaces, wide range of applications.

  • High insulation strength – test voltage 3 kV / 1 minute.

  • Wide temperature range: from -25 °C to +85 °C.

  • Universal application – suitable for switchgear, industrial systems, energy applications, and measuring systems.

  • Complies with IEC 60044-1, IEC 61869-2, VDE 0414-1, DIN 57414.

Design and materials

The current transformer housing is made of self-extinguishing, heat-resistant plastic with high mechanical strength.

The transformer core is made of a ferromagnetic alloy with low losses, ensuring stable and accurate transmission even with varying loads.

The secondary winding terminals are equipped with a protective cover to improve connection safety.
Proper installation minimizes the risk of short circuits or damage.
