TENSE TRM-12 digital thermal relays are designed to protect loads from overcurrent faults.
They allow you to set the overcurrent value, fault delay time, and operating mode.

They have internal current transformers and a 3 × 3 digit LED display for clear operational monitoring.

Operating Principle

• When power is supplied, the relay turns on and activates the output contact, and the OUT indicator lights up.

• If the set overcurrent value is exceeded, the delay time starts counting and the ERR indicator lights up.

• When the time has elapsed, the relay turns off, the output contact switches, and OUT turns off.

• Depending on the selected mode, the relay resets automatically or manually:

  • Manual: Manual reset required after a fault.

  • Semi-automatic: Automatic reset 3 times, then manual reset.

  • Automatic: Automatic reset every time a fault occurs.

50% Asymmetry

• If the difference between the largest and smallest phase currents exceeds 50%, the relay enters asymmetry fault mode.

• The fault is indicated by flashing displays and the ERR indicator.

• A manual reset is required to return to normal operation.

• Currents less than 2 A are not monitored.
