Relays for water level control in boilers and steam generators
Product Description
The water level control relay is designed for use in boilers, steam generators, and water heating systems, where it ensures automatic shutdown of the electric heating system if there is insufficient water in the tank.
This prevents "dry" operation of the heater, protecting the equipment and extending its service life.
The device operates with two independent volume systems - TANK (well/tank) and BOILER (boiler/heater).
Device Functions
Tank Level Control (TANK)
-
While the water level is above the TANK electrode, the pump operates (the "motor operation" indicator is lit).
-
If the water level drops below the TANK electrode, the pump switches off.
Boiler/Heater Level Control (BOILER)
-
When the BOILER sensor level is reached, the pump switches off - the tank is full.
-
If the level in the boiler drops below the BOILER electrode, a 10-second delay is activated, after which the pump automatically switches on and replenishes the water supply.
Electric Water Heating Control (RES Elect)
-
When the water in the boiler reaches the RES Elect level, the heater switches on (the indicator light is off).
-
If the water level drops below RES Elect, the heater switches off and the indicator light comes on.
This function protects the heater from overheating or destruction when the tank is empty.
Wiring (Overview)
-
Com Elect - common electrode (must be connected to the metal body of the tank/vessel; if not conductive, use a separate electrode).
-
Tank Elect - well/reservoir level electrode
-
Boiler Elect - boiler level electrode
-
Res Elect - heater control electrode
-
Res Out - heater connection output
-
Water Not - output for signal light (no water)
Important Notice
-
Electrodes are not included - they must be ordered separately.
-
We also recommend purchasing 3 pcs of 2A circuit breakers to protect the input and output circuits.
-
Connect the relay exactly according to the manufacturer's diagram.
-
If the socket is not conductive, a special common electrode must be used.
