Water Level Control Relay for Single Tank with Heater Protection - Tense SSR-09
Product Description
The Tense SSR-09 relay is a modern unit designed for automatic water level control in boilers, accumulation tanks, and water heaters.
It ensures safe water supply, timely pump shutdown, and, most importantly, effective protection of the electric heater against dry running.
The device uses capacitive electrodes to monitor water levels and automatically controls the pump and heater according to the current situation in the tank.
Key Advantages
-
Protection against dry running for both boiler and heater - extends equipment lifespan.
-
Automatic water level control: pump turns on when water level is low, turns off when it reaches the highest level.
-
Heater protection - if there is no water in the heater, the device immediately blocks its power supply.
-
LED indication of pump and heater operation for easy status check.
-
Easy installation - DIN rail mounting, transparent screw terminals.
-
Compact size, low consumption.
-
Wide operating voltage range 170-260V AC - stable operation even during power fluctuations.
Operating Principle
The SSR-09 operates with two electrodes located in the tank:
-
Lower electrode (minimum level)
-
If the water level drops below this electrode, the relay activates the pump and starts pumping water.
-
-
Upper electrode (maximum level)
-
When the upper level is reached, the relay automatically switches off the pump.
-
-
Protection electrode near the heating element
-
If there is no water in the heater, the relay disconnects the heater's power supply and prevents overheating.
-
This intelligent logic ensures safe and economical operation of the entire system.
Application
-
Electric boilers and accumulation water heaters
-
Heating systems with an accumulation tank
-
Household and industrial water storage tanks
-
Water supply and pumping systems
-
Tanks for drinking or domestic water
Installation and Connection
-
Mounting on a standard DIN rail in a cabinet.
-
Connection using screw terminals.
-
Electrodes must be installed in the tank at the required levels.
-
For stable operation, the manufacturer recommends using wires of at least 2.5 mm².
Note: Electrodes (level probes) are not included and must be ordered separately.
