The TENSE reactive power controller RGT-12E is a fully automatic and highly accurate controller designed for optimal control of compensation stages in power systems. With digital measurement, intelligent algorithms, and a graphic LCD display, it ensures a stable power factor, efficient reactive power control, and protection of compensation equipment.

Automatic detection of compensation stages

The controller self-configures upon power-up:

• Automatically detects the size of connected capacitor banks.

• parameters can also be entered manually.

• the system continuously checks the status of each stage

Intelligent switching control

The controller switches stages on and off so that:

• a stable power factor is achieved with a minimum number of switches

• individual stages are loaded evenly

• priority is given to capacitors with the lowest residual charge

• at the same time, the status of each stage is checked (faults, power changes, removal and re-connection)

TCR (Thyristor Commuted Reactor) support

The controller provides compensation control with thyristor-switched reactors, ideal for:
