Shock-resistant hermetic plastic enclosure with IP67 protection and mounting plate, Plastim (Turkey).
A plastic enclosure with IP67 protection has several significant advantages, especially for use in harsh environmental conditions:
High protection against moisture and dust:
The IP67 rating means that the enclosure is fully protected against dust and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1m deep for 30 minutes, making it ideal for installation in wet or dusty areas, such as outdoors, industrial zones, or near water bodies.
Corrosion resistance:
Unlike metal panels, plastic does not corrode, which is particularly valuable in aggressive environments – near the sea, in chemical plants, or enterprises with high humidity levels.
Lightweight and easy installation:
Plastic enclosures are much lighter than metal ones, which facilitates transport and installation, especially in hard-to-reach places.
Dielectric properties:
Plastic does not conduct electricity, which increases safety when working with electrical equipment and reduces the risk of short circuits.
UV resistance:
If special UV-resistant plastic is used, the protective device retains its properties for a long time even when continuously exposed to sunlight.
