TENSE Phase Protection Relay - Adjustable Asymmetry 5-50%
The phase protection relay from TENSE (Turkey) is designed to protect three-phase electric motors and other three-phase equipment from power grid faults. The device checks for correct phase sequence, phase asymmetry, undervoltage, overvoltage, and ensures safe disconnection of the load if the set limits are exceeded.
Thanks to its wide range of settings, the relay is suitable for most industrial and commercial applications, especially where precise and stable motor protection is required.

Operating Principles
Normal Operation
If all phase voltages are within limits and the phase sequence is correct:

the relay switches on,

the OUT indicator lights up.
High Voltage Fault (H)

If a phase exceeds the set limit → Err In time is awaited, H is displayed.

The relay switches off, the OUT indicator is off.
-
When 5V drops below the set value, Err OUT starts, the relay switches back on.
Low Voltage Fault (L)
-
Drop below the set limit → Err In waits, L is displayed.

The relay switches off.

When voltage rises 5V above the limit → Err OUT wait, the relay switches on.
Phase Asymmetry (Asy)

If the voltage difference between phases exceeds the set threshold (5-50%):

After Err In time, ASy is displayed, the relay is deactivated.

If asymmetry falls below (set threshold - 2%) → Err OUT wait time, the relay switches on.
Phase Sequence Fault (pHs)

If a phase sequence fault occurs, the relay waits for Err In, then pHs is displayed.

The relay switches off and remains off until the correct sequence is restored.

When the phase sequence is corrected, Err OUT appears, and the relay switches on.
