Principal Electric Company presents a new series of cam-operated packaged switches, manufactured by Opas (Turkey). Opas began its operations in 1982 in Istanbul. For 40 years, it has offered innovative solutions to the cam switch market and successfully exports its products to 20 different countries.

Cam switches are designed for:

• controlling mechanisms powered by three-phase and single-phase motors; switching AC motor windings (star-delta), as well as changing the direction of rotation;
• control and signaling in control circuits;
• switching operating modes of heating equipment;
• switching on and off the drive mechanisms of sectional disconnectors in transformer substations.

Our new line of rotary switches offers a wide range of connection options for different numbers of poles and rated currents.
You can choose a switch according to its application and the technical characteristics of the circuit.

For example:

• to switch a load on and off a line, choose the “0-1” scheme,
• for switching to a parallel line (reverse load, backup source) – “1-2” or “1-0-2”,
• for switching between different operating modes of equipment (speed, heating temperature) – you will need the “0-1-2-3” scheme.

In addition, you can choose a special switch for a voltmeter or ammeter, as well as a “star/delta” type switch.
